ICON Selections is a Colombian Chrysanthemum Breeding company established in 2014, with operation facilities in Rionegro and Bogotá.
ICON Selections also evaluates, selects, promotes, and sells varieties of roses and alstroemeria from Dutch breeders that have been tested under producers natural conditions in South America where they grow their flowers.
Background
We aim for our varieties to be a reference, both for the market, with our innovative and distinguished shapes, textures, and colors, and for the producers, due to the excellent performance of these at the agronomic level. Our mission is to be a permanent support for the growers who cultivate our varieties so that we can achieve successful results together. With our global breeding and selection program in Colombia and Netherlands, we can offer varieties that have been developed and evaluated under equatorial and western conditions.
In cooperation with marketers and designers in the United States and Europe, we have understood the needs of consumers and have been able to develop a unique, exclusive, sophisticated, and fascinating assortment, in one word, an ICONIC assortment.
Logo
The logo of ICON Selections is based on the spiral of Fibonacci, a mathematical principle that can be found everywhere in nature.
The mathematical formula represents an efficiency of the utmost importance plants grow to make maximum use of natural resources. In breeding and selecting of ICON Selections we apply the spiral of Fibonacci: “in a spiral we always seem to pass the same point but from a different perspective”.
